Highlights of my 2022 collection
In this blogpost you can discover the recent works I’ve made the past months. Some of you might have seen them already in real but I thought it would be nice to show you a little overview.
‘Irish Garden’ and ‘Scottish Highlands’ are 2 new frames filled with typical wildflowers and plants from Ireland and Scotland.
‘Woodland Tales’ is all about the mushrooms that can be found in the woods.
Let’s continue with the mushrooms as I’ve also made new glass domes with special species!
In this ‘Autumn Fairytale’ mushrooms grow on a soft carpet of moss with fallen leaves. Tiny golden beetles are finding their way in this enchanting fairytale.
‘Fungi Forest’ is another glass dome with special species.
Tiny glass bottles in different sizes with miniature creations inspired by the diversity and treasures in the woods.
Time for some wildflowers now!
‘Spring awakening’ and ‘Cirsium vulgare’ are 2 glass domes celebrating the beauty and details of flowers.
‘Blooming anemones’, inspired by the Japanese anemones in my garden.
Poppies in different sizes and shapes.
‘Hellebore orientalis’
‘Midsummer Garden’ is a porcelain garden filled with typical midsummer flowers celebrating the beginning of endless summer days.
In this ‘Summer Meadow’ you can discover wildflowers growing wild and free in the fields. Such as malva sylvestris, poppies, cornflowers and silene latifolia.
These antique metal boxes are like a tiny museum or herbaria as they are filled with delicate porcelain species, telling a unique botanical story.
‘Winter Fragrances’ is about typical winter scents, like for example the sweet scent of hamamelis, viburnum and early wood violets. Or the fragrance of pines, wet earth (petrichor) or snowflakes.
‘Tinctoria Garden’ is a collection of dye plants and flowers.
And we end with mushrooms again. This treasure box is titled ‘Stories of moss and mushrooms’. It’s autumn after all, isn’t it?!
In December I will participate in some artisanal Christmas markets in Belgium. So if you would like to purchase one of my new works, feel free to come along. You can find all the information in my Agenda.
