A day at Meise Botanic Garden
Are you also fascinated by gardens and history? Why won’t you join me on an adventure in the Botanic Garden of Meise? It’s a garden full of history where I discovered exotic plants in an amazing glass house, historical buildings and the beauty of autumn in the English landscape gardens.
Shop update
A little sneak peek of the new update of my shop with the Autumn Collection 2023.
The last days of summer
As we’re slowly approaching the autumnal equinox, I’d love to share some memories of these last September summer days.
However, there are definitely subtle signs of Autumn. A season of bright colours, warmth, coziness and the scent of the earth is slowly approaching!
The story of a notebook
Behind every book there’s a story, isn’t it?! It’s definitely true for the porcelain notebooks I make. So let me tell you the story of a notebook which is completely handmade, from cover to cover and filled with botanical treasures!
The New Ceramics Award 2023
At the International Ceramic Days in Oldenburg 2023 I’ve won the main award for New Ceramics. Such a happy surprise and a big honour!
Stories of the Forest
The forests are the lungs of our earth and are a wonderful but fragile ecosystem. By creating these ‘Stories of the Forest’, I want to focus on the beauty and diversity of the forest but also encourage people to take care of it so they won’t be destroyed for the future generations.

Summer Workshop
New work
Time for un update of the new works I’ve created the last months! You can discover some of them in this new blogpost… Be ready for a lot of botanical details, made by hand in porcelain!
Blooming Blossoms
The end of April is a magical time as it’s the nature is adorned with delicate blossoms (and it’s my birthday on the last day of April). I live in a region in Belgium which is well known for its fruit orchards so I’m surrounded by blossoms every day these days. When I go for a walk or a morning run I enjoy endless rows of blooming pears, apples and cherry trees.
I notice I’m slowly losing my feeling of wonder and enchantment with every year that passes by since I live here. It’s as if I’m getting used to this abundant beauty around me. And it make me feel a little melancholic and sad as I long for that deep sense of wonder and delight I had in the beginning. So it makes me wonder how I can learn to be awe again, to really see. That’s what this blogpost is all about (and lots of blossoms too of course)!
In my studio
When spring is lingering in the air, I always feel the urge to fully open the windows and doors. Not only to let the fresh air and sweet fragrance of blooming blossoms in but also to hear the beautiful bird songs.
But my doors are open for you too and I would love to share with you what I’m up to this month in my studio. Let me tell you more about the wonderful material, porcelain, I’m working with!
A postcard from early spring
I’m sending you some postcards from an early spring day, spent outside in my garden and nature. I hope you like them…
After a week with cold, snow and days of rain it’s a mild day with a blue sky and some white clouds are slowly passing by. The sun feels warm on my face as I’m looking out over the garden where the first sprouts of green appear. Although it is “this time of year when it is summer in the sun and winter in the shade “(quote by Charles Dickens). Spring is definitely around the corner!
Spring Workshop
The days are lengthening, birds are singing in the morning and the earth is awakening. The first flowers are blooming, fruit trees are blossoming and nature looks fresh and new again.
What about bringing spring into our homes? Handmade porcelain tableware with delicate floral decorations will surely add some spring feeling to our table!
During this spring workshop you will learn how to make your own tableware with paper porcelain by using different techniques. You’ll be encouraged to use your creativity and make pieces in your own style!
February reveries
Ode to Winter
An ode to the winter. In this poem by Matthew Holloway we can read how this melancholic season can feed our soul and nourish our heart.
One day in January
At the beginning of this new year I treated myself on a day out in Leuven, one of my favourite cities! I started the day at Abdij van Park (an Norbertine abbey) where I joined a guided morning silent walk. I visited the Botanical Garden and share what we can learn from nature in winter.
A Christmas card for you
At the end of this year I would like to send you this postcard with an Irish blessing and my best wishes for the new year!
I also wish you a Merry Christmas and hope you will have cosy and slow days with your loved ones!
The first days of Winter
When I opened the curtains this morning the world looked like a winter fairytale. So after having breakfast and when our girls were off to school for their exams, I put on my walking shoes, wrapped myself in woollen layers and braved the cold. But it was worth it when I saw the icy beauty in the nature reserve.
Highlights of my 2022 collection
In this blogpost you can discover the recent works I’ve made the past months. Some of you might have seen them already in real but I thought it would be nice to show you a little overview.
